What I have learned from this election:

A President can lie about reasoning in going to war and other things, and still be re-elected. (You know why they voted for the war? Bush's people (Colin, Dick, etc.) are the ones that presented the information to the Senate when they took the vote. We, like the members of the Senate, put our trust into a man and his people to lead us into what he thought was the right thing to do. Bush lied to the Senate, and in turn they voted for the war.)

People care more about what 'God' says, than actual facts. (This is the part that gets to me. Religion and Politics are two different entities. They need to remain separated to protect the people that are from different religions. A Mormon person doesn't believe the same as a Jewish person. A Jewish person has different beliefs than a Christian, Etc. The first amendment gives the people of the US the right to practice any type of religion they deem worthy. Who cares if a President believes in Jesus or not! I want, and would hope that others would too, a President that respects my right to choose.)

The economy sucks, but we don't care that the incumbant has much to do with it, we're voting for him anyways. (When is it ever going to get any better?! When am I going to find a job that I don't get laid off from?!)

Exit polls are bullshit. (Fucking predictions.)

The next four years are going to be interesting.

There is nothing I can do, or any of us do to change the outcome. Let's hope that the provicinal votes & absentee ballots make the difference. But, if the outcome stays the same, I'm going to sit back and watch the fireworks.

I expect the gas prices to stay right around $2.15 here in Florida. (Or higher in some other parts of the state.) Maybe, crosses fingers, Bush will get generous and decide himself & Dick have made enough money off of us and give us a little break for a few months.

We should get ready for Hilary Clinton's run to the White House if the current results hold up. If she can promise to do what her husband did, with the exception of Monica Lewinsky, she will have my vote 100%.

*Gets another Y2K care package together & bunkers down* This is definitely going to be a long four years...
